Deanna Leersnyder
Deanna Leersnyder was born in Annandale, VA to two parents from New Zealand. She always loved working with diverse groups of people, especially children, and started babysitting for the whole neighborhood when she was young. She volunteered at soup kitchens and took service trips to Hurley, VA and San Pedro Sula, Honduras to help underprivileged people and orphans. At 18, she moved to New Zealand to study primary (elementary) teaching and Spanish and has since taught both in Spain and New Zealand. She has travelled to 25 countries already and loves seeing the world! She speaks Spanish fluently and is excited to use her skills and experience for this most deserving community.
