H. Lan Nguyen
Lan thrives in diverse environments that are progressive and promote equity, access, and innovation in our communities. The core values that guided and motivated her as a young teacher have only gained more clarity and focus, resulting in a desire to work with organizations dedicated to serving children and families experiencing trauma. She works part-time with the Fairfax County Public Library as a circulation aide, where she develops and implements educational programs for children and adults. Before joining Playtime, Lan served many years as a special educator, developing and delivering individual educational programs, as well as academic instruction to students with unique learning needs. She received a B.S. in Rehabilitation and Human Services from Boston University and an M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from Boston College. When she's not working, Lan enjoys camping, dancing, and has a pet rabbit named Dasher.
