Kieaira Lucas
Kieaira survived her final year at Howard University during the pandemic to graduate with a Master's of Social Work in 2021, specializing in Child and Family Welfare. While at Howard, she served as a social work intern at Playtime. She received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice: Community-Based Corrections from Bowie State University in Bowie, Md. Prior to joining Playtime, Kieaira worked at Contemporary Family Services, Inc. as a Community Support Worker and as a Family Advocate with Community Development Institute Head Start. There, she used a holistic, evidence-based approach to providing services that are responsive to the social, psychological, emotional, cultural, and biological needs of children and adults facing issues, including housing discrimination, homelessness, and food insecurity. Kieaira has worked as a Paralegal at BWW Law Firm, LLC. She was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Prince George's County, Md.
