Playtime Named ‘One of the Best’ Nonprofits by the Catalogue for Philanthropy

We are extremely proud and honored to be accepted into the Catalogue for Philanthropy’s 2019-20 class as one of the best local nonprofits! Playtime is one of 112 nonprofit partners of the Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington.

“It is an honor to be included once again as one of the best by the Catalogue for Philanthropy,” said Jamila Larson, Playtime Executive Director. "This recognition speaks to our ongoing commitment to bringing transitional play experiences to children experiencing homelessness, while also providing access to much-needed resources for their families."

The Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington is the region's only locally focused guide to giving and volunteering. Since 2003, it has raised more than $40 million for its network of vetted charities, which are evaluated for excellence by a team of over 120 local experts. Each charity is assessed for impact, community need and financial transparency.

“People want to get involved in their community—they want to make a difference, close to home. Based on our rigorous review process, we believe that the Playtime Project is one of the best community-based nonprofits in the region,” said Matt Gayer, Director of Community and Nonprofit Development at the Catalogue for Philanthropy.
