Play Ranger Training (virtual)
Our New Play Ranger Training is a mandatory training for all volunteers interested in becoming Play Rangers. Play Rangers are our dedicated volunteers who come to our play programs (mostly weeknight evenings) and engage in therapeutic play activities with children experiencing homelessness. Play Rangers are required to complete this training, as well as pass a series of background checks, before volunteering in one of our playrooms.
Please note: All Play Rangers are required to complete both the Playtime Volunteer Orientation and the New Play Ranger Training before getting started with us. It is recommended you take the Volunteer Orientation first, but you can complete them in whatever order is best for you. **Volunteers solely interested in helping out in our office or with transportation support are not required to complete the New Play Ranger Training. It is only for volunteers planning to volunteer in person at our play programs.**
Every individual planning to become a volunteer with us must register independently, even if you plan to attend the virtual training from the same device.
This training is offered every other month. If you cannot make this session, be sure to check future months. You can also return to the calendar page and sign up using the form at the bottom of the page to receive notifications when additional trainings are schedule.
