Play Ranger Training (Virtual)
Our New Play Ranger Training is a mandatory training for all volunteers interested in becoming Play Rangers/interested with working with children & families. Play Rangers are our dedicated volunteers who come to our play programs (mostly weeknight evenings) and engage in therapeutic play activities with children experiencing homelessness. Play Rangers are required to complete this training, as well as pass a series of background checks, before volunteering in one of our playrooms.
Please note: Volunteers interested in becoming Play Rangers (volunteering with our clients at our shelter- and school-based play programs) will also be required to complete the Playtime Volunteer Orientation. Though you can do the trainings in any order, we strongly recommend completing the orientation before the Play Ranger Training.
This training is typically offered every other month. If you cannot make this session, be sure to check future months. You can also return to the calendar page and sign up using the form at the bottom of the page to receive notifications when additional trainings are schedule.
