Ross Sawilowsky
Based in Prince George's County with roots in Baltimore, Ross earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Maryland (UMD) in 2025. He is passionate about cultivating resilience through community connection, especially for youth navigating intersecting marginalized identities. His lived experience with homelessness in the DC-Metro Area as a young adult further shapes his approach to accessible, trauma-informed programming.
Previously, Ross channeled his passion into roles with Fostering Terp Success (a program supporting students of homeless and foster care experience) and Belonging and Community at UMD, where he co-created life skills workshops, social events, and intersectional affinity-based programs. Around this time, Ross also joined Playtime as an intern, and he is thrilled to return in an expanded capacity as a Program Support Coordinator.
In his free time, Ross likes to learn new languages, spend time with his cat, create clay miniatures, and play the ukulele.
