Wesley R. Heppler
For the past two years, Wes Heppler has worked as a staff attorney at the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless. At the Legal Clinic, Wes handles direct representation of homeless clients in a variety of housing and shelter related matters, and serves as the Legal Clinic's representative to several D.C. working groups addressing systemic homeless issues. Prior to joining the Legal Clinic staff, Wes was a partner at the law firm of Davis Wright & Tremaine, where he practiced communications law for over 35 years. While there, he began his extensive commitment to the Legal Clinic, serving as a volunteer attorney for nearly 30 years, on the Legal Clinic's Board of Directors for over 25 years, and as President of the Legal Clinic's Board for 16 years.
Wes graduated from Michigan State University and received his law degree from The College of William and Mary. He is an avid sports fan who still plays basketball, along with tennis and golf.
